About Katie:

Katie McGhie doesn’t just write songs—she crafts stories that stay with you. An award-winning singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, McGhie blends folk, Americana, and her West Coast country roots into music that’s both deeply personal and universally resonant. Her evocative storytelling and poetic lyrics have captivated audiences across the country, from intimate venues like 54 Below and Hotel Café to sold-out theaters alongside Air Supply frontman Graham Russell as part of their collaborative duo, Of Eden.

A fiercely independent artist with four studio albums and a string of standout singles, McGhie’s voice has found a home far beyond the stage. Her latest release, Home, can be heard in the highly anticipated A24 film Eddington—a new project from director Ari Aster starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler. Her previous single, Red Guitar, was featured in the SXSW Audience Award-winning film My Dead Friend Zoe, starring Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, Natalie Morales, and Sonequa Martin-Green, and executive produced by Travis Kelce, as well as on the award-winning CBS hit drama, Fire Country. Most recently, she sang & arranged the vocal for the trailer of the upcoming Vertical Entertainment film Dead of Winter, starring Emma Thompson, Judy Greer, & Mark Menchaca.

In 2022, her original track I Can’t Make You Love Me earned her “Best Original Song” at the Indie Series Awards. As a trusted vocal producer and arranger, she’s also contributed to numerous film and TV projects, most recently including Netflix’s Falling for Christmas starring Lindsay Lohan. Her voice, both literally and lyrically, continues to shape stories across screens and soundstages.

But it’s on stage where McGhie’s songs come alive. Her live shows are electric in their intimacy—equal parts heartache and celebration. With a mix of storytelling, soul-baring honesty, and moments that invite the whole room to dance, she creates an atmosphere that feels less like a concert and more like a late-night conversation among friends. The kind where you laugh, cry, and forget about the rest of the world for a while.

For those craving something real in a world of noise, McGhie is an artist worth watching—and more importantly, worth listening to.
